This is the news BOOM ID Dota 2 fans have been waiting for. Today, we are officially announcing Aaron “Clairvoyance” Kim and Shenal “AB” Daniel as our Dota 2 coaches.
Clairvoyance, as many of you may know, is a name often heard in the Dota 2 community. And, we are excited to welcome him, and the experiences he’s had with many other established teams such as Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, VGJ.Storm, Mineski, and Ninjas in Pyjamas, into our team. Given the role he played in helping VGJ.Storm qualify and place 7th-8th in The International 2018 (TI8), we are confident in his abilities to assist us in making it through the upcoming The International 2019 (TI9) Regional Qualifiers.
On the other hand, we’ve also taken AB into our home. AB is known as a Signify analyst, and recently became coach to Power of MYSG+AU, who placed 3rd in the latest EPICENTER Major regional qualifiers.
“The reason we chose these two coaches for our Dota 2 team is because of their two differing backgrounds, which we hope will be valuable to the team. With Clairvoyance, we’ve seen his experiences with coaching many well known teams. Fortunately, he was available and showed great interest in coaching us. As for AB, he was chosen due to a recommendation made by 1437 and for his experiences in Signify and Power of MYSG+AU in the recent minor and major tournaments. To us, AB was and is a complete package of both a coach and an analyst.”
Brando “xlr8” Oloan, BOOM ID Dota 2 manager
“I chose BOOM ID because it was one of the best options available to me. I have always respected their individual skill and felt it could be a place where I can make a difference. My target with BOOM, and with any other roster, is to help the players become the best version of themselves – primarily in the game, but outside too, where I feel I can assist positively. To evaluate “unrefined gems” of the SEA region and hopefully share a new/different perspective.”
Aaron “Clairvoyance” Kim, BOOM ID Dota 2 coach
“I saw a lot of potential and a long road with BOOM players! The target for every Dota player is TI but one step at a time. It is not just about qualifying to TI, but getting results at the main event as well. I have heard a lot of good things about BOOM ID players and the organization itself as well. So here I am to walk a long path with the brotherhood.”
