  4. Change in BOOM Esports CS:GO Roster
By BOOM ID
January 15, 2021

Today, we have a difficult announcement to make that Boltz, Chelo, Shz, Yel, and coach Apoka will be leaving BOOM Esports. After a long discussion with management, the squad has decided to try a new environment, so we’ve decided to arrange transfers for the players.

It’s been a wonderful journey with our Brazillian CS:GO team. Despite 2020 not going as expected, they showed their tenacity and determination by winning every single tournament they competed in.

“I am very thankful to Ale, Yel, Boltz, Chelo, Felps, Bruno, and for a short time Fer. I am glad that we were able to achieve a lot of success together and create a name for ourselves in a very competitive Esports title.

I think in 2020 things were definitely not as we expected. The plan was to play in ESL Pro League in Malta, then start competing in NA, out of Canada. But as with everything else, COVID-19 changed our plans a lot. Despite the initial hardship, by the end of the year, we achieved a 100% win rate, received a major qualification, IEM and ESL Pro League qualification, and became one of the best teams in South America. Thank you for these achievements under our flag, and I wish you the best of luck in the next step of your careers.”

Gary “Natshuba” Ongko Putera, CEO BOOM Esports

“It was 11 amazing months in BOOM. Together, we won all the challenges and made a beautiful story in South America. BOOM’s welcoming was incredible and they always trusted us.

We left with the doors kept open, and I am sure that we will carry BOOM in our hearts. We’re very grateful to all the staff and fans in Indonesia. A special hug to Brazilian fans, because without you we wouldn’t have made history in Brazil. And special thanks is due to the CEO, Gary; I consider him a friend, a person who was always present and cheered for us, inside and outside the server.”

Alessandro “Apoka” Marcucci, BOOM Esports CS:GO coach

“It was amazing to be able to be part of BOOM in these 11 months. We managed to achieve all of our goals in 2020 and I can only thank BOOM for believing in our project.

I would like to thank all the BOOM staff who were always attentive and present whenever we needed them. A special thanks to the BOOM CEO, Gary, who from the beginning was the most passionate supporter of this team, in addition to doing everything possible and impossible for us to be happy! To our fans I just have to thank you for all the affection that was given to us this year!”

Gustavo “Yel” Knittel, BOOM Esports CS:GO player

We’re sad to see them go but to our #HungryBeast fans, especially those in Brazil, we will continue pursuing our CS:GO dreams, so stay tuned on our social media. Thank you to our fans, who supported and cheered for us during this challenging year; for that, we are eternally grateful. We aren’t going anywhere, and we will be looking to create more champions with you guys.

Stay Hungry, #HungryBeast.
