BOOM Esports DOTA 2 officially announced the roster change by deciding to part ways with Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra. With the roster for almost 4 years, he is the only player left since the first DOTA roster back in January 2017.
Dreamocel has made various achievements with his role as a BOOM player starting by dominating the national DOTA 2 tournament, help make BOOM became the first Indonesian team to qualify for the DOTA Pro Circuit tournament through Southeast Asian qualifier, and successfully becoming the first Indonesian DOTA 2 team to win the top 4 of the DOTA Pro Circuit tournament.
“It is very unfortunate that we have to take this step, Dreamocel has been with us since the first day the DOTA team was created. I already think of him as a brother for me. Loyalty to Indonesia and BOOM is no longer in doubt considering how many teams he has rejected to fight with BOOM Esports. .
Although this decision is bitter, we have to do this to achieve our dreams. I really thank Randy for his dedication and always remember as the best player in BOOM history. I’m sure we will meet as opponents and you will continue to be a tier 1 carry in DOTA 2. Hopefully we will meet again someday. “
Gary Ongko Putera, CEO of BOOM Esports
“Many things were taken into consideration before I finally decided to part ways with BOOM. I have various memorable moments, whether happy or sad, for almost 4 years, starting to win consecutive national tournaments until finally we slowly managed to rise in the SEA and international scene. ”
“I want to shoutout to colleagues, both management and former teammates who have supported my career at BOOM. Thank you to Khezcute, who I consider as a mentor both in-game and real life. Thank you also to Gary as the owner who has entrusted me. as a BOOM player. See you next time and keep supporting BOOM Esports. Stay Hungry, Hungry Beast for the last time. “
