The dust has settled on the Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2026 Southeast Asia Split 2, and while we fought with everything we had, this is where our run officially ends. We, BOOM Esports, stepped onto the server with one goal in mind: securing the top spot and a ticket to the VCT Pacific Play-In. While the outcome wasn’t what we envisioned, the Hungry Beast is far from tamed.
Here is a look back at our playoff run, our final standings, and what the future holds for BOOM in the competitive Valorant scene.
The playoff bracket tested our resilience from the very start. Coming into the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, we squared off against a formidable Sharper Esports squad. Despite our best efforts to execute our game plan and secure early momentum, we ultimately fell short, dropping the series in a tough 0-2 defeat.
This loss pushed us down into the Lower Bracket Round 1, where every match became a fight for tournament survival. Facing off against Oasis Gaming, we knew we had to leave it all on the line. Unfortunately, the server wasn’t on our side that day. Oasis Gaming managed to outmaneuver us, resulting in another 0-2 loss that brought our VCL 2026 Southeast Asia Split 2 campaign to a close.
Looking at the final tournament standings, BOOM Esports concluded Split 2 in the 7th-8th place bracket alongside Looking For Home. While it is certainly not the championship trophy or the VCT Pacific ascension we were aiming for, this placement secures us $2,000 USD in prize money.
More importantly, it provides us with invaluable competitive experience against the top-tier Valorant rosters in the Southeast Asian region. The gap between victory and defeat is razor-thin at this level of play, and every round we played in this split has given us crucial data on where we need to improve our macro-strategies and team synergy.
To all of our fans who tuned into the broadcasts, cheered us on social media, and wore the BOOM colors with pride: Thank you. Your support means everything to us.
As we announced on our official channels, this may be where our VCL 2026 SEA Split 2 run ends, but we guarantee that we will be back stronger. The off-season will be a time for the Hungry Beast to reflect, rebuild, and refine our gameplay. We are BOOM Esports, and we will not stop grinding until we reach the top of Pacific Valorant.
Stay tuned to our socials for roster updates, behind-the-scenes content, and our preparation for the next VCT season. Stay Hungry, Hungry Beast!
