  4. Kaleidoskop BOOM Esports: Year in Review 2022

January 3, 2023

In the past year, BOOM has made a name for itself in the competitive scene by fielding teams in a variety of popular titles such as Dota 2, PUBGM, and the recently hyped Valorant.

One of the BOOM’s most notable accomplishments in 2021 is the team’s impressive 16-0 record in back in DPC Seasons. This fantastic performance helped BOOM earn a spot at the Stockholm Major and later the Arlington Major.

However, the team has seen some personnel changes during the year. Ikyar, Ponbit, Kennan, and Hijrah all left the team, but BOOM was able to rebuild and add new talent, including JaCkky and Bossku, who helped the team succeed.

In addition to his performance in Dota 2, BOOM also had a strong presence in the Valorant stage, becoming the champion of VCT 2022: Challengers Indonesia Stage 1 and placing in the top 3 at VCT Challengers Indonesia Stage 2. The team also qualified for and won the Valorant Tournament of Champions through the LCQ, solidifying their status as one of the best Valorant teams in the region.

BOOM also had a successful year for PUBG Mobile, finishing second in the Danjen Kopassus Hipmi Jaya PUBGM Cup and winning DGWIB PUBG Mobile Season 8. The team also qualified for the PMPL National League and became champions, cementing their status as one of the best PUBG Mobile teams in the region.

In addition to their competitive achievements, BOOM Esports has successfully built a strong presence in the local community.

One of the biggest highlights of 2022 for BOOM Esports was the team’s performance at The International 11, one of the most prestigious Dota 2 tournaments in the world. BOOM qualified for the playoffs with a 1.42% chance and scored a victory over Team Spirit, cementing their place as one of the best teams in the world.

Near the of 2022 BOOM Esports once again have to make a change in their roster with Fl1pzjder & TehBotol leaving, replaced by Famous, Severine, and Shiro for the Valorant division, as for Dota 2 except for Tino who was absent pretty early unfortunately we must see Tims, Skem and JacKky also leaving in the week of transfer players season.

Opening the slot for xNova, Xepher, Natsumi, and our new analyst Ohaiyo to join the squad for the following 2023 season.

Overall, it has been a memorable year for BOOM Esports with many wins for the team and their consistently high level of play across multiple tournaments. There is no doubt that the beast continues to shine next year.

Don’t forget to support the #HungryBeast squad. Stay Hungry Hungry Beast!
